Happy National Lingerie Day, slayers!!
April 25th, marks the day for you to indulge in lingerie however you wish. Let this be the day where you put on some bomb lingerie and get some photos in it. Surprise your partner in the evening with a little treat. Wear lingerie under your clothes and head out for an evening with a secret only you know. Literally do whatever you want, and add some lingerie to the equation.
Today I’m choosing a bright piece with garters of course. A 3 piece set that I bought from Love, Vera a while ago. Bright. Yellow.

I threw this set into my suitcase because I knew the color would look amazing in the sun with some greenery in the background. I skipped out on adding stockings because I knew it was going to be hot and I absolutely hate the feeling of stockings anyway. Also I don’t currently have a pair that would have done this set justice. Although, while taking pictures, I wish I had brought some type of thigh high with me because you would have been able to see how the garters lay against the body and accentuate the booty.
I love this set because it’s so bright! The bottoms cover the front, but there’s nothing but string in the back. The string you see on my waist and back of the underwear is the same string between the cheeks. A g-string basically. Personally, I find the bottoms comfortable. I’m a fan of thongs and g-strings. I was able to sit down and enjoy lunch in this without feeling like I was being cut in half.
The bra fits comfortably as well. Nothing major to report on this one. Both bra and panties are composed of the same material and are see through. Giving a little tease as to what’s completely underneath.
Of all the pieces of lingerie I have, I chose this one as my focus for National Lingerie Day. Because it’s bright, because I love garters, because I knew that yellow would go crazy once I got a lil tan, and because this set is from a Black Owned Business. Unfortunately, their website isn’t currently active, and I’m not sure if they’ll be back. Lingerie that I have purchased from them has always made me feel good about my body. I used one of their sets for a Boudoir shoot. I have also written about a sexy lil black piece called ‘Tyra’.
I feel good and I look good. My body is allowed to take up space in everything that I do. Lingerie is no exception.

What did I do today?
I was at the mall looking for a cute flowy dress to wear to the Lavender Ceremony this evening. Found the dress, grabbed something to eat from the food court, ran home to eat and write this post, did my makeup, and then I was back out the door. I arrived a little late, but thankfully they were giving folks time to eat and get situated. And would you know the minute I sat down, one of my nails popped off? I left my set with the nail glue at the house, I was sick. Anyway. I was happy to be there and glad that I went.
For those that don’t know a Lavender Ceremony is an event for LGBTQIA+ individuals who are graduating to be celebrated. This is an important celebration to be had, because Queer people have been and are still being banned from spaces just because of who they are. College is hard, and it gets harder when you realize that these spaces are not made with everyone in mind.
The space that I was in tonight was full of happiness, love, excitement, and celebration. I drove home smiling from ear to ear whilst 19-2000 (Soulchild Remix) by the Gorillaz blasted from my speakers.
I didn’t walk or do anything for undergrad because yah girl was having a time. I took a break, and then went back to finish. I was so tired I didn’t care to celebrate. But this time? Baby, we going off. I’m walking for graduation. I’m collecting these stoles like Thanos collected them stones. Don’t even worry about what’s finna happen when I snap My fingers. Just know….
I’m so proud of myself.
