TW: Snottie Hottie (snot, phlegm, etc.)
I came down with a sinus infection earlier in the week. I thought it was your typical case of allergies I experience around this time. Something I could fight with Allegra.
Nope, a sinus infection.
At the beginning of the week, I had been body doubling at a friends house. They heard my sniffles and were kind enough to offer and give me a few of their mullein tablets. They are a true healer because I will now be adding mullein tablets to my health regimen. A sinus infection usually involves me taking mucinex, plugging up my humidifier, lost sleep, and a trash can overflowing with snotty tissues. This time around it’s just been snotty tissues.
Thought this would last longer cause of the pain I was feeling in my face. That was a new one. I truly think the mullein made a huge difference. Felt the sickness coming on Tuesday, and today (Sunday) it’s on its way out. Something else that made a difference was being able to give my body grace. Soup, rest, and immune boosters. This post may be a little… jumbled. That brain fog still has me in its clutches.

I did Blerdcon Part Deux with the homies. Cosplays consisted of Raven (Teen Titans), the girl from the Battle Royale Training Video, and Hidan (Naruto) in a bunny suit. Got a chance to watch the cosplay contest this time around. Someone did a white liger from Zoids and I lost it. I’m talking standup out my chair applause lost it. Oh! I went to the bunny meetup and had so much fun! Never did anything like that before, but exposure therapy is the main way I fight anxiety. Slid through Fantom Comics before we headed home. Grabbed some solid horror finds. Beautiful time with great people.
Upon watching Dr.Stone last night I was introduced to Francois. Ya’ll know how I feel about genderless characters🙂‍↕️. Loved how other characters had no problem turning to ‘they’ for pronouns. Also Francois started stepping the minute they popped up. IN THE PLATFORMS. That’s a cosplay I would love to add to the list.
I secured a copy of Pokemon Colosseum. Now I have to secure a gamecube. Ebay has pink ones, so I’m going to see what they talking bout.
Mm, I think that’s all I got. Topics for posts that I’ve been mulling over consist of: friendship saving me, being gendered, being a Black woman that doesn’t want children, and the amount of access (or perceived access) that we have to each other thanks to social media.
