Okay not fr fr, but we got a new look.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
(Yeah this is my HNY post. Ya’ll won’t be seeing this until the 5th though. The official launch day.)
Chile updating this damn blog was a lot. There were (and are) moments where I’m frustrated because I’m not the best at coding, not the best at website design, but I’m trying. Yah girl tryin’.
I had this cute digital theme going cause the 90s baby in me needed it bad. Turns out I didn’t need it that damn bad because the ‘Pics’ page was just trash. You would get the photos. Nice. High Quality. Big. But! The navigation page magically disappeared. Now I know this is something I could have fixed on the page itself or better yet, the template. But uuuhhh, no. No. Just no. My brain is on vacation from critical thinking that doesn’t impact human life.
Did I want to build a website from scratch? Absolutely not. I wanted the easiest theme I could work with that I could just plug my content in.
And the focus is going to be building content. That and making sure that my blog pages are easily accessible. As in you won’t get any error messages and you can easily click on what you need. I want you to have fun here! Just need you to remember that I’m a perfectionist who gets in her head sometimes. I’m doing way better than I have been though.
The fall semester had me in an anxious chokehold. I would like to report that I got an A on my literature review. My topic was ‘Race Play and its Implications on Black Sexuality’. A fucking headache but I wanted to challenge myself and hell, the topic of race play is challenging. I really enjoyed finding my sources and digging through them. Currently thinking about making my research papers available to read….hmmm. We shall see.
Something about 2024 excites me. A new year of possibilities and opportunities. Putting myself out there and making my mark in sex education. How nerve wracking. 😅
I bought the new year in with close friends and sushi. Real calm. Real comfy.
